Evaluasi Status Gizi melalui Pengukuran IMT dan Komposisi Tubuh untuk Optimalisasi Kesehatan Masyarakat Lebak

Kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas merupakan tantangan kesehatan masyarakat global yang turut berdampak pada komunitas tradisional seperti masyarakat Lebak. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi status gizi dan komposisi tubuh sebagai upaya promotif–preventif terhadap risiko penyakit metabolik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Komunitas Lebak, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten, menggunakan pendekatan Plan–Do–Check–Action (PDCA). Sebanyak 41 peserta dewasa mengikuti pemeriksaan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dan analisis komposisi tubuh dengan bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). Rerata usia peserta adalah 40,76 ± 14,37 tahun, dengan mayoritas perempuan (70,7%). Nilai IMT rata-rata 23,77 ± 5,91 kg/m² menunjukkan 51,2% kategori normal, 29,3% obesitas, 14,6% overweight, dan 4,9% underweight. Persentase lemak subkutan rerata 17,73 ± 9,26%, sedangkan massa otot rangka mencapai 30 ± 5,1%. Analisis menunjukkan pola distribusi lemak lebih tinggi pada perempuan dan massa otot lebih besar pada laki-laki, sesuai perbedaan fisiologis hormonal. Temuan ini menegaskan adanya transisi gizi yang mencerminkan perubahan perilaku konsumsi dan aktivitas fisik di komunitas Lebak. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya memberikan gambaran objektif tentang status gizi, tetapi juga meningkatkan literasi gizi masyarakat melalui edukasi langsung dan konseling berbasis hasil pemeriksaan. Evaluasi IMT dan komposisi tubuh terbukti menjadi pendekatan efektif dan kontekstual dalam deteksi dini risiko metabolik serta penguatan kesehatan komunitas berbasis kearifan lokal.
