Abstract

The current study effectively synthesized a number of distinct ethyl 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-6-methyl-2-oxo-4-phenylpyrimidine-5-carboxylate derivatives employing an effective and ecologically safe approach. Under ideal reaction circumstances, the synthetic method mainly used a one-pot multicomponent reaction with substituted aromatic aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate, urea in presence of Duepertic Solvent (Choline Chloride+Sulphamic Acid, 20 mL) and Water (4 mL) are added. High yields, low reaction times, easy operation, and mild reaction conditions. The synthesized compounds were purified and characterized by IR spectroscopy, ¹H NMR, and 13C NMR. The study shows how adaptable and appropriate the established technology is for producing a broad variety of structurally varied pyrimidine derivatives. The results of this study offer a useful basis for more biological assessment and medication development research utilizing scaffolds based on pyrimidines. Background
